Caring about climate change has become the hot topic of the world. Nowadays, China has become a \"world factory\" and the biggest country of carbon emissions, thus China attach great importance to the undertaking of cutting down the emission of carbon dioxide. Competition of China and the United States has entered a new economic model with low carbon as the core of the new stage. The fate of the state, the government, enterprises, individuals will change accordingly. China used to take western economics as the \"bible\" and pursuit the growth of GDP unilaterally, as a result, causing serious social differentiation.

I. What is low-carbon life?

The so-called \"low-carbon life\"，is to live in the schedule to minimize energy consumption, thereby reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Low-carbon life, for the average person is an attitude to life, while low-carbon life posters has become the trend of the new way forward. It gives us is a \"we'd be willing to work together to create low-carbon life \" issues. However, we should actively advocate and to practice low-carbon life, pay attention to energy saving, solar terms, turn off the lights for one hour ... and so on. Low-carbon living can be understood as: to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, is low energy, low consumption and low cost of living. Provided that in no case reduce the quality of life, do all of the energy saving. \"Emission reduction\" is not only the buzzwords in today's society,but also the strategic choice of the future of mankind. Improving the \"energy saving\" consciousness, their simple lifestyle or spending habits change with the reduction of global greenhouse gases (mainly to

II. How to live a low carbon life?

A. We should recognize that low carbon life is not only a kind of lifestyle but also life attitude.

B. Each of us is responsible for the carbon greenhouse gases emissions . C. We emit in our daily actions.

D. We should develop good habits in our daily lives and works. Following aspects are the good habits summarizing: eating, wearing, housing, transportation and working.

a. Regarding Eating :

*We must reduce or even not to use of the disposable tableware and plastic bags; *Avoid ordering too much when eating out;

*More vegetable , less meat and so on.

b. As to Wearing aspect: *Only buy the necessary cloths; *Don’t buy cloths with animal leather; *Wear cloths with natural fibers.

c. Refer to housing and shopping:

*When building a house, we must use environmental protection material;

*Buy the electronic applicants which are energy-saving and remember to turn off them when not needed;

*Put rubbish into different kinds & recycling the useful things, like bottles and papers.

*When we go shopping in a supermarket, we should choose to use a paper bag or a bag made of cloth rather than a plastic bag.

d. As to transportation:

*To reduce our carbon footprint, we can go to school by bike or on foot. we can also take a bus instead of taking a car.

*If for short trip, we can by bicycle instead of drive a car; *Try to use public transportation.

e. About Working:

* Companies should encourage employees to use e-mail, MSN and other instant messaging tools instead of using fax machines and printers.

*We print things out only when necessary and print double-sided also reduce the margins;

*For using computer: If you don’t use computer in a short time, you should change the computer into its \"sleep\" mode for reducing 50% consumption.

f. Governmental policy

Policy makers play a vital role in living a low-carbon life. It goes without saying that economic growth should not come at the price of the environment. Policy makers should promote low-carbon economy model which is based on low energy consumption, low pollution and low emission.

And development of low-carbon economy will bring us many benefits. Government should invest in developing environment-friendly energy such as solar energy, wind energy and so on. For building a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society and realizing sustainable development.Policy makers should also collect a carbon tax for the good of reducing carbon footprint.

From the reasons above, we can conclude that low-carbon life can be summarized as moderate food, house, transportation, more sports and not wasting. In terms of traditional Chinese culture, the concept of low-carbon life can also be simplified as industry and thrift.

In the end, we should try our best to call for people around us to take part in the low carbon lifestyle, informing them that living a low carbon life not only can reduce carbon dioxide emissions, make our own contributions to our city, but also do good to ourselves, including keeping us healthy, setting examples for future generations, and so on.

We can definitely make a difference by our individual and seemingly trivial actions. Our premier Wen jiabao once said, a trivial issue time’s 1.3 billion people will be a significant one, not to mention we have more than 6 billion allies around the world.

So we are living on the same planet and we are sure to save the earth by our joint efforts! Believe ourselves, in the near future, the earth will be a more beautiful human home.
