摘要：A boiler (10) designed or retrofitted to produce less greenhouse gasses byusing a substantially pure oxygen atmosphere in which to burn fuel. The boiler having aprimary burner (14) and water tubes (13a) is provided. The boiler further comprises atleast one secondary burner (24) located as needed in a zone (26) above the primaryburner area (15) and below the boiler steam outlet. The secondary burner providing heator energy to increase the temperature and quality of the steam. The secondary burnerproviding the heat or energy lost through the diminished flow rate of exhaust gasesthrough the boiler as a result of the use of oxygen rather than pressurized air.
