摘要：Disclosed is a process for the production of alpha , alpha '-dihydroxylaminoanthraquinone or alpha -monohydroxylaminoanthraquinone from amixture comprising at least two components selected from alpha , alpha '-dinitroanthraquinone, alpha -mononitroanthraquinone and anthraquinone, which processcomprises subjecting the mixture to reduction conditions to reduce all the nitro groupsof at least one nitro component, the resulting reaction mixture being treated with alkali-metal basic medium to separate the more soluble hydroxylamino compound from theother components of the reaction mixture. By the process the hydroxylamino compoundscan be obtained in high purity and then be reduced to obtain the amino compounds incorresponding purity, the amino compounds being important intermediates in thedyestuffs industry.
